  • Description: I. Scenes on board a Merlin helicopter during a night flight, shot with an image intensifier. Crewman (sweating heavily) prepares to open the door on landing. Close-ups of faces of soldiers being transported in the helicopter. II. General views of the Palace and lagoon, followed by scenes of the handover and flag raising ceremony of Basra Palace from the British Army to the Iraqi Palace Protection Force. The 4 Rifles flag is lowered and the Iraqi flag is raised in its place as bugler plays and senior officers salute and shake hands. The two officers walk off at the end of the short ceremony; guards, followed by the troops. III. Scenes outside the palace, with British soldiers and Iraqi colleagues carrying out various tasks, and liaising informally. Warriors set off on patrol. Iraqi armoured vehicle on guard outside the palace. IV. Random interior shots - camera tests of wide-angle lens (presumably left over from previous use of the tape).
