Summary: Des Browne MP visits the Contingency Operating Base (COB) at Basra Air Station.
Description: I. Des Browne (wearing his poppy) is seen leaving the offices of the Irish Guards, before visiting a field kitchen. He talks with Lieutenant Colonel Michael O'Dwyer, CO of the Irish Guards, and other soldiers, and inspects storage containers containing equipment and supplies (including boots).
II. Interview with Lieutenant Colonel O'Dwyer, discussing M2T: monitoring, mentoring and training of the Iraqi Army, to develop them into a more capable military force.
III. Des Browne goes on to meet members of 4th Battalion the Rifles, and 2nd Battalion the Royal Welsh (with white hackles in their berets) before visiting a construction site at the COB.
IV. Mr Browne inspects a Bulldog armoured vehicle (labelled "Winston") adapted as a battlefield ambulance; he also visits staff in the the field hospital at the COB.
