Description: (No sound during this sequence.) Soldiers direct night traffic on Basra road; some of the cars are stopped and checked. Land Rovers parked by roadside: one of them flashes its lights. Soldier on top cover watches through his night vision eyepiece as traffic is stopped and searched. Views from moving Land Rover.

(No sound.) Soldiers enter a house to search for weapons; outside, a prisoner sits cross-legged under guard, his eyes blindfolded. (Black screen for several seconds.) Interior of the house: soldiers begin their search of the premises. A handgun is discovered hidden behind a sack. Outside, Land Rovers line up in the street (intermittent picture). Further men are detained and sit in the street; some are blindfolded, all have their wrists tied. They are kept under guard. Close-up of weapons cache in vehicle. Handguns and a mobile telephone captured in the raid are also displayed. (Sound commences abruptly.) Weapons search dog and handler. Soldiers keep watch at street corner. Seized guns are inventoried and bagged. Perimeter of suspect house is patrolled. Weapons dog searches vehicles.
