Summary: Scenes of Operation Claymore, a night search and arrest operation. First part is shot using an image intensifier.
Description: Soldiers break the padlock on the gate of a house and enter the compound. They hammer on the door attempting to gain admission; camera is outside the compound, and therefore this attempt at entry is heard but not seen. Soldiers keep watch outside on the street. Sound of door being smashed; shortly afterwards, soldiers are seen on the roof terrace of the house. Soldier on top cover of Snatch Land Rover; others stand around.
Interior of compound - normal colour camera, but grainy image quality. Suspects are led out (their hands restrained) and are photographed. Soldiers enter the house carrying a large hamper. Briefing with platoon leader before the search begins; he makes notes on a clipboard. Soldier describes the search procedure to the cameraman. Various occupants, woman and younger family members, are interviewed (some shaky camerawork). Details are taken by accompanying woman soldier and interpreter. Search in kitchen. Views of empty courtyard, where the search continues. Back inside, an AK rifle with a full magazine is inspected. A further magazine is doscovered. Paperwork and ID cards are inspected with the aid of the interpreter; various medals and badges are laid out on a table. Pictures of martyrs adorn the walls. [Abrupt end.]
