Description: I. Operation Oxo, shot with image intensifier. Views in the grounds of a house which has been raided by British troops backed up by a Bulldog armoured vehicle. Inside the house, a man is arrested and carried out after being blindfolded (he has only one leg). A second suspect is detained in the garden. Women with children protest about the arrests. Inside the house, search continues. Soldiers go through gate into the road, and move to second target house; others keep watch. Long shot as they gain entrance through a "hard knock" (breaking the door down). Scenes inside the house: Royal Engineers search team takes over; sniffer dog searches for explosives. The search continues: at length, an AK47 is found. Private Fraser Brown of the Royal Engineers search team describes the operation. Identity of one of the suspects is checked. Search continues: evidence (including handcuffs and rounds of ammunition) is photographed and bagged up. Soldiers check the roof. Bags are checked then loaded into the Bulldog. Interview with WO2 Dave Youngs, Company Sergeant Major, B Company 2nd Battalion the Rifles who describes the operation and the result.
II. Operation Sinbad, Pulse 17; daylight scenes in Basra. Officer talks with local man who has information on suspected weapons smuggling from Iran, and details about the area. Soldiers crouch by Bulldog and check an alleyway. Discussions with Iraqi Police. Cars are searched at nearby vehicle checkpoint. Interview with Corporal Paul Macaleese of 2nd Battalion the Rifles about this pulse of Operation Sinbad.
