Summary: Scenes from Operation Hammer, a daylight strike operation on suspected terrorists by the Iraqi Army supported by Danish and British troops; the search takes place in marsh Arab villages near Al-Qurnah.
Description: (Brief interior image intensifier shot at beginning.) Iraqi soldiers search ground with probes by the roadside as they advance on foot, following and Iraqi Army vehicle into small village. Shots of village: British and Iraqi soldiers on patrol. Iraqi soldiers, some of them masked, search a house; they move on to a second house (interior shots of the cluttered dwelling with a roof made of rushes). Further houses and huts are searched, nothing has yet been found. Interview with masked Iraqi soldier (in Arabic, translated into English). Members of the Iraq Army and Multi-National Forces in conversation. View from top cover of moving Land Rover as it travels in convoy on road through marshland, passing Iraqi vehicles parked at the side. British convoy comes to a halt near a group of Danish Army vehicles and troops who have set up an outer ring around the search area: interview with Colonel Per Mikkelsen, CO of the Danish Battlegroup, describing (in English) the purpose of Operation Hammer. Brigadier Evans, CO of 19 Light Brigade and Colonel Mikkelsen talk with Iraqi Special Forces Brigadier (Akeem Hassan ?); latter is interviewed (in Arabic). Cutaway shots of Iraqi soldiers. Three local suspects are detained and kept under guard next to an Iraqi Humvee; Iraqi soldiers check a suspect vehicle and its occupants. Final shots of Iraqi vehicles and Danish Army "Piranha" AFVs.
