  • Description: Prince Andrew arrives in HS125 aircraft at Basra Air Station where he is met by Major General Jonathan Shaw, General Officer Commanding Headquarters Multi National Division (South East); he is taken to headquarters and is briefly seen in the Brigade Commander's office (poor light). Afterwards, he travels by helicopter to Shaibah Logistics Base where he is met by members of 1st Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment (1 YORKS). He is taken on a tour of the perimeter in a Snatch Land Rover, viewing his surroundings from top cover. Inside, he meets with officers of the Yorkshire Regiment before viewing various equipment displays: ammunition, weapons, Mastiff vehicles and crews. Interview with Private Kerry Dooley of 1 YORKS; he talks through a static display of kit (the same display he had shown to the Duke). Interview with Ryan Bowness (1 Yorks). The Duke of Yorks talks with other members of A Company, 1 YORKS. Interview with Corporal Blunsden (1 YORKS). Prince Andrew visits the field hospital at Shaibah Logistics Base; he meets staff and talks with patients including Colour Sergeant Shaun Evans of 1st Battalion the Staffordshire Regiment who has been injured by shrapnel. Sign "Welcome to the United Kingdom Medical Group Field Hospital". Later, the Duke meets members of the Joint Helicopter Force Iraq (JHFI) and inspects a Merlin helicopter.
