Summary: The importance of cooperation in the war effort.
Description: A group of children playing enthusiastic but ill-disciplined football is watched by George Allison of Arsenal Football Club. He explains to them the importance of team spirit, illustrating his point by an Arsenal goal in a football match; he then broadens the message to take in the war effort with its many different aspects (services, industry, nursing, fire fighting, etc) - film closes with representative types saying "It all depends on me... and me... and me..." until one of the original children says "and you". Some of the boys have been identified by W Bates as Dennis Runchman (referee), Johnny Eagles, Alan Oakman, Michael Williams, Ken Hayden, Peter Titmus, Mervin Hough, Neil Fox (?) and by J Giro as Graham Hurst and Tommy Southren.
