Summary: Scenes from Operation Maturin, an earthquake disaster relief operation in Pakistan: Chinook helicopters of RAF 27 Squadron carry out the first aid flights to Kashmir.
Description: Shaky shots at daybreak at Chaklala Airbase near Islamabad. Supplies are unloaded from lorries on the tarmac. The three Chinook helicopters of RAF 27 Flight fly in and taxi into position. Aid parcels are then loaded on board by a team of RAF and Pakistan Army personnel. Interior shots of Chinook as the cargo bay begins to fill up.
In flight shots on board the one of the Chinooks as it flies over the mountains heading for Kashmir; air-to-air shots of second Chinook. Mountain villages and valleys can be seen below: extended sequences of landscapes shot through the Chinook's rear door.
Helicopter lands at its destination and the sacks of aid are unloaded. US Air Force Chinook is also seen on the ground.
