Summary: Members of 1st Battalion the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment accompany a US military delegation as they visit Abu Al Kaseeb College, which is being reconstructed using American funding.
Description: Company of soldiers gather at Basra Air Station before patrol; they climb on board a Merlin helicopter which deploys them in Basra (shaky shots as cameraman disembarks from the helicopter). Merlin on open area of muddy ground with blocks of flats and college in the background. Soldiers march towards the college buildings; they shake their boots to remove clumps of mud. The troops enter the college (which is in a poor state of repair). Meeting with the college principal and staff. Scenes inside the college as it undergoes renovation. DMOC photographer takes pictures as soldiers patrol the roof area. General views of the college exterior (with sundial and Iraqi flag flying). Interior views of college as the US delegation tours the building. (No students present.)
