Description: The Icarus flare (capable of being detectable by radar) is seen being tested and constructed, watched by the uniformed visitors. Various other flares are demonstrated, including: red flare, "mini-flare" (apparently a 5000 candlepower medium range signal projector), Very pistol with 1-inch cartridge, line-throwing flare, red and yellow smoke bombs. Five of the ordnance officers fire hand-held smoke flares in sequence.
