Description: The premises of James Purdey and Sons of London, gunsmith, where a customer is "fitted" for a shotgun (by Harry Lawrence, the managing director, according to script). The smallarms factory of Webley and Scott, near Birmingham, is also shown. Various aspects of production are briefly seen: forging the barrel, soldering the tubes together, adding sights, shaping the wooden stocks. Returning to the shop, there are close-ups of ornamental trigger guards and a shot of a rack of finished shotguns.
