- Summary: An edition of a newsreel issued by the National Socialist regime in Holland.
- Description: I. At a large indoor gathering in the Hague, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Germans placing their destiny in the hands of Adolf Hitler (30 January 1933), speeches are delivered by the Dutch NSB leader Anton Mussert (in Dutch) and Reichskommissar Seyss-Inquart (in German). Mussert:"Fellow Germans, fellow Dutchmen and countrymen. Today we are gathered here to celebrate the past decade, which started on 30 January 1933 and ends today. Our thoughts are there where the fighting is toughest. And to you, my fellow Germans, I can truly say that when the "Bismarck" was destroyed, we felt as if it were one of our warships. And now that Stalingrad is threatened - and thousands [of German soldiers] are based there - we, Dutch people, say to you, fellow Germans: "Our fellow countrymen are there with your people. And we stand or fall with them." Seyss-Inquart makes inspirational reference to the 'heroes' of Stalingrad. Meeting concludes with Horst Wessel song. II. Reichs Commissioner Seyss-Inquart, accompanied by Commissioner General F Schmidt, visits a military hospital for German wounded. Gift parcels distributed, to commemorate tenth anniversary of National Socialist seizure of power. III. Poster reads: "One can only understand one's people, when one knows its language, therefore...Learn German now! For those who don't know - or not enough - German, the Dutch-German Cultural Society organises German language courses for beginners and more advanced.. Starting date: February. NLG 4 -, per month.
