Description: Marine Aviation has 2 aspects, the sea-going work of the Armee de l'Air and the autonomous Aeronautique Navale; some special aspects of its 4 functions (Bombardment, Torpedo, Fighter and Reconnaissance / Observation) are illustrated with film and animated diagrams. The aircraft carrier Bearn, with aircraft (Levasseur PL 7s) taking off and landing; a flying-boat base, conducted tour of a Latecoere 302, the crew off duty. With the arrival by smaller flying boat of a senior officer, the second part of the film, showing an exercise, begins. (Reel 2). The officer briefs captains for a reconnaissance mission; the flying boats take off. Other squadrons are ordered into readiness, and the planes (including LEO 257s, Breguet Bizerte 521s, Levasseur PL 15s) are prepared, bombed-up etc. An autogyro (Cierva C-30) takes off, locates a submarine; surface vessels are guided to spot. The Reconnaissance flying boats approach their target area (incomplete).
