Description: A girl sees her father off to collect her mother from a distant hospital. The next day in the local shop, an elderly 'Miss Hardcastle' is laying down the law about women in trousers; the news on the shop's radio tells of a bombed hospital, but her diatribe drowns out the location given. Miss Hardcastle "deduces" from the non-return of the parents that theirs was the hospital bombed and they are victims, and starts to commiserate with the girl. She experiences two hours of worry after which her parents arrive, having merely been kept waiting of an ambulance, with no air raid anywhere near them. The father gives Miss Hardcastle a piece of his mind.
