Description: The final stages of the Russian attack: artillery and infantry actions, streetfighting, Generals Rokossovsky and Marshal Voronov visit General Batov. German troops give themselves up in the town's ruins; their commanding officers also surrender - Generals Daniels, Sanne, Dimitriu, Schlömer, von Drebber (?) and Rinoldi; finally the VI Army Commander Paulus and his aide Schmidt surrender and are taken for interrogation. Stalin's order of congratulations to his commanders. German prisoners are marched off into captivity; a Red flag is raised over the city. [Soundtrack incomplete; missing at each end.]
