The war in 1942: Russia - fall of Sebastopol, opening battle at Stalingrad; at sea - Battle of the Atlantic, and Mediterranean; in Africa - El Alamein, and the Anglo-American "Torch" landings in North West Africa. (Reel 3) 1943, and the tide turns. Russia - sieges of Leningrad and Stalingrad broken, German retreat. Allied victory in Tunisia. Hitler falls back on "Fortress Europe".
