Fire trucks suppress flames from a burning Gloster Javelin using water cannon with a foam additive. A fireman protected by asbestos clothing simulates the rescue of the pilot from the cockpit. (3) Parachute training - all the men are volunteers as such a demanding occupation requires strong motivation. RAF regiment provides comradeship, a sense of purpose, unparalleled sporting facilities, and world-wide travel. The film continually stresses the tough life of the regiment and implies a consequent sense of fulfilled masculinity. "Let it be repeated, the Royal Air Force Regiment does not offer an easy life, but there is pride in wearing its uniform, achievement in fulfilling its role, and what that's easy provides that".
