He claims that "the enemy tried (and failed) to corrupt French youth by teaching it to be cowardly" and urges everyone to do their utmost for the recovery of France.
c) "German Christmas." Discovery of frozen corpses of 34 Belgians murdered by the Germans at Bande.
d) "Living on a volcano." Le Touquet, the most mined town in France, is cleared of Teller mines and booby traps.
e) "Our pilots from the Russian Front." Officers of the Normandie-Niemen squadron pause in Algiers with General Retz (?) before attending a reception at the Inter-Allied Centre in Paris. Tillon and Ambassador to Moscow General Catroux are present. Visit to an aircraft factory.
f) "Bombardment of Manila". Grumman Avengers and Hellcats take off from a USN aircraft carrier to bomb Manila. Planes return at sunset after a fire caused by a Japanese air attack has been extinguished.
g) Allied advance on the snow-covered Western Front, with US armour and artillery in action, British armour and infantry pushing forward through the Ardennes and with POWs, and the French Army in Alsace. Crowds greet the entry of General de Vernejoul and men of the French First Army into Colmar on 2 February.
