Description: a) De Gaulle honours the standard of a Parisian militia detachment in the Place de l'Hotel de Ville then takes the salute as the troops march up the Champs Elysées. Koenig visits the tomb of the unknown soldier.
b) Rally of the CNR at the Velodrome d'Hiver hears four speakers including Louis Saillant and d'Astier de la Vigerie calling for Allied recognition of the French government, the confiscation of collaborators' property, committees of equal representation and ridding France of all Germans and traitors. (19 September).
c) Tillon addresses aircraft workers who bear placards reading "We want to work". "Down with the trusts" and "Planes and weapons for the FFI." Minister of Air says that never before have workers and technicians been so ready to work with such spirit and dedication, and promises to establish a successful production programme.
d) German prisoners remove signs of German occupation from the Air Ministry in Paris. A photograph of Hitler is replaced by one of de Gaulle.
e) German markings on Caudron Renault planes are replaced by Croix de Lorraine signs. Fieseler Storchs, manufactured in France during the Occupation and now with French markings, start up.
f) Diethelm visits the front with General Monsabert and sees the French First Army moving through hilly terrain. FFI Regiment parades before marching out of village.
