Description: a) Girl Guides, Boy Scouts, Brownies and Cubs parade down the Champs Elysées past the Chief Scout and Guide standing beneath a large Cross of Lorraine.
b) De Menthon broadcasts from the Ministry of Justice. View of file containing the names of wanted collaborators - Darnand, Déat, Decoux and Pétain. Trial of General Dentz.
c) Repatriated French prisoners arrive by train and plane and are met by anxious relatives before their bureaucratic reception at the Paris Repatriation Centre. Men emerging from a US commandeered Ju 52 look very sick and some still wear prison stripes. Another displays a number branded on his arm. A meeting of the Union des Femmes Françaises vows to avenge and honour the female political deportees of Ravensbrück and Auschwitz in the presence of survivors from these camps.
d) Aerial and ground level views of flooded district and bombed industrial installations in Germany, including the Krupp works in Essen.
e) Von Papen guarded by US Military Police.
f) Stuart tanks of Combat Command 2 pass through Baden after its capture by the French Army on 13 April. Names of wanted collaborators (Bucard, Darnand, Déat, Doriot, Luchaire) on register of Brenners Parkhotel. French advance continues through Black Forest and Germans surrender in blazing Dutzendteich after French open fire.
g) US troops view the Zeppelin Field at Nuremberg.
h) Eisenhower, with Bradley and Patton, visits Ohrdruf concentration camp.
i) L'Adroit Class destroyer and battleship Lorraine, flying Admiral Rue's flag, bombard the Pointe de Grave, 15-17 April. French "75"s blast the German pocket prior to its surrender. De Gaulle, with Diethelm, reviews the victorious FFI under the command of de Larminat, whom he decorates.
