Description:(Reel 1) Budapest streets with damage to buildings and vehicles (including wrecked tank); people help clear up. Russian tanks on the streets. March down principal thoroughfare (cameraman within the crowd lining the road). More scenes of destruction - building with Russian graffiti painted onto it. Street scenes show wrecked tramcar, the Hotel Astoria, Russian tanks and close-ups of corpses lying in the road. Open lorry with gunmen aboard. Road partially blocked by wrecked artillery piece.
(Reel 2) Further shot of the damaged tank seen in the first reel smouldering in the street. Civilians cross the road. Another (clearer) shot of the open lorry with gunmen. Tank fires at building. Body in street. Pan across wrecked square with tramcars and other vehicles. Further shots of corpses. Tank crashed in wall of building. Tracking shots of streets. More shots of the street with wrecked gun, the Astoria, and of people clearing up debris (the wrecked gun in the background). Final shots of boulevard with tanks and men moving along it (high angle).
