- Summary: I. Public School athletics. II. French politicians visit London. III. Motorcycling. IV. Allied Nations War Council, Paris.
- Description: I. 'PUBLIC SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIP: Mr. D.J. Bryceson wins the 100 yds., the quarter mile and the steeplechase thereby giving his school, Latymer Upper, Hammersmith, the Schools Championship'. The games take place in a huge, almost empty, stadium (a cricket ground ?). Running race and hurdles are shown; the victorious Bryceson, wearing spectacles, poses for the camera. Long jump competition is shown: close-up of the winner (unnamed) in his blazer. II. 'FRENCH SENATORS AND DEPUTIES: French Parliamentarians are received by the Lord Mayor at the Mansion House and entertained to lunch'. Poorly filmed sequence of close shots of the various deputies, mostly dressed in smart coats and top hats, entering the Mansion House. III. 'MOTORCYCLE HILL CLIMB: Public School Boys, many of whom are members of the O.T.C. test their skill in a Motor Cycle hill climb at Snowhill Worcestershire'. Prior to the race, competitors and officials gather on a road apparently in woodland. A motorcycle is weighed prior to the race. The climb starts: competitors set off aided by push starts. The race itself takes place on open country roads, watched by a few people sat by the hedgerows. IV. 'BROTHERS IN ARMS: Representatives of the Allied Nations, attend the last War Council in Paris. FRANCE M. BRIAND PREMIER'. Briand descends steps of building and gets into car. (Note stills photographer in background.) 'FRANCE GENERAL ROQUES WAR MINISTER AND GENERAL JOFFRE'. Roques and Joffre walk towards camera along a Parisian street followed by a small crowd of civilians. 'GREAT BRITAIN MR H.H. ASQUITH PREMIER AND SIR EDWARD GREY'. Asquith and grey, accompanied by an unidentified third man, descend the steps first seen above and get into a car. 'GREAT BRITAIN LORD KITCHENER WAR MINISTER'. Kitchener stands on top of the steps, first frowning at the camera, then turning away, then returning his stern gaze back. 'RUSSIA M. ISOVOLSKY AMBASSADOR'. He is seen getting out of a car and ascending the steps. 'RUSSIA GENERAL GILINSKY'. He does the same. 'ITALY SIGNOR SALANDRA PREMIER AND BARON SONNINO'. Salandra, Sonnino and others, dressed formally, talk together on the steps, then descend towards a waiting car. 'ITALY GENERAL CADORNA'. Cadorna and another military man walk along the street before large gates; one of them speaks to a Gendarme, presumably asking directions, then they both continue on their way, past the camera. 'BELGIUM BARON BROQUEVILLE'. The Baron ascends the steps from his car. 'SERBIA M. PACHITCH PREMIER.' The white-bearded Pachitch stands at the doorway above the steps, then walks towards the camera. Item (and issue) ends with 'Topical' lozenge-shaped logo.
