Description: The film shows: 2nd September 1945, Japan signing unconditional surrender; Allied troops landing in Japan; first meeting United Nations, of the United Nations; prisoners being brought home and camps emptied; prefabricated homes; 8th June 1946, victory parade in London; establishment of the Atomic Energy Commission; the International Civil Aviation Organisation; the Brabham, the Princess flying boat, the Viking, the Viscount, the Ambassador, the Britannia, Comet III; the Cold War; the Berlin Airlift; the Suez Canal threat; the shooting in Malaya; the Korean War; the Canberra bombers, the Vampire fighters and the Beechams from Britain; the Sabres and the Shooting Stars from North America. The film concludes by saying that 'today our front line is drawn across Europe. Fighters control where East meets West'.
