Summary: A new version of DEFEAT TUBERCULOSIS with some changes of plot and emphasis.
Description: Compared to the 1948 film, the story of 'Joan' and 'Betty' is considerably shortened, and in place of the sequence on children a third character ('John Hardy') is introduced representative of those for whom a sanatorium place is not immediately available and who in the meantime are treated at home with assistance from a Health Visitor. The new Mass Radiography programme is covered: mobile units provide small-film X-rays; possible TB cases are recommended for full-scale X-ray. Opening and closing moments remain as in the earlier version.
