Members of this branch are seen in the Mess and introduced. The role of the Chief Stores Accountant - stores are shown in detail, including cleaning items etc. The "visi-records" filing system. Catering - food store, galleys for crew and officers - all cooks are trained to City and Guilds standards. Action stations (drill) - during an engagement, the Secretariat provide everything from spares to snacks. Ship visits island hit by earthquake (staged sequence) - relief offered in form of blankets, food etc; people rescued, tea and sympathy. Supply officers deal with pay issue, taxation etc. Goodwill mission to friendly Middle East country (not named). Shore leave. Supply officers shop for food in market, officers cook and stewards prepare meal for VIP guests: stress on Navy's peacetime goodwill role.
