Description: The first shot is from a Stuka aircraft attacking a ship. Then a set of captions begin short sequences concerning some of the captured towns in North East France during the spring and summer of 1940. First sequence, Rouen, features buildings on fire and collapsing. Second sequence, St. Valery, features a temporary bridge being constructed and tanks crossing it. Third sequence, Laon, features troops advancing by the cathedral, heavy guns firing and the ruins of Fort de Brimont. Fourth sequence, Rheims, features troops riding through. There are few real action sequences, the cameraman following in the wake of the advancing lines of troops.
