Part of building is placed on rollers and moved away. (96 ft) III. Exhibition of German industrial and applied art in Madrid. Poster advertises exhibition in Calle de Florida Blanca from 10-25 November 1943. German Ambassador is welcomed by Falangist officials. Sign bears Falangist symbol. Items on display include wrought iron, coffee set, glass, tapestry woven with German eagle and swastika and silver items. (94 ft) IV. Soldiers fire small mortar before Greek partisans are brought in as prisoners. EAM leaflet in Greek and German addressed to German soldiers is held up, presumably a call to Germans to surrender. (195 ft) XII. Repairing and refuelling U-boat in tropical sea. German sailor wearing solar topee scans horizon as another dons diving apparatus and climbs over side of U-boat to inspect damaged hull. Sailor with welder then squeezes into forward section ahead of 8.8cm gun and welds fault. Voyage continues until rendezvous with supply U-boat, Type IX. Fuel lead is fixed and adjusted on camera boat, while three sailors in rubber dinghy row across to supply vessel to collect three boxes of provisions. (Camera is now on aft section of supply U-boat.) Fuel lead is unscrewed. Supply U-boat against setting sun. Scenes on board as bread removed from galley oven, torpedo greased and raised into tube and sailor showers below deck. Bearded captain scans sea before emergency dive and raising of periscope. Captain sights freighter in periscope, gives order to fire torpedo and then emerges through conning tower. Radames sinks stern first. All crew on U-boat are bearded. UFA end title. (537 ft)
