Summary: A film on ground crew work on the Do 217E.
Description: A Do 217E is towed out of a hangar. Its basic tool kit (laid out for display on the tarmac) is stowed in a large bag. A medical kit is installed in the rear of the fuselage and in the cabin, and an inflatable dinghy with its equipment stowed in a dorsal compartment. The aircraft is jacked up, an external power unit attached and the undercarriage raised. The dive-bombing mechanisms are checked - the bomb doors and the dive brake opened and closed. A wheel is removed. The mounting of a hoist on the wing to remove an engine is also demonstrated. Tyre and suspension unit pressures are checked. A tanker drives up and the aircraft is refuelled. The oil tanks are also filled.
