Summary: A film of the first flights of the Me 262 V3 (the first prototype to fly unassisted on turbo-jets) on 18-7-42.
Description: The film opens with close-up shots of the aircraft and of its engines. Some mechanics make final checks and replace the covers. The aircraft is seen (in long shot) taxiing past some Gigant gliders (presumably prior to the first flight). It is then seen coming in to land. Smoke and flames (from burning fuel in the tails of the engines) pour out as spectators rush up and gather round. The aircraft then takes-off and climbs away. Once again smoke pours out of the engines on touch-down, dying away slowly.
