Description: The film first shows the various components of the device in close-up (both with and without covers in place) - antennae, cathode ray screen, transmitter, receiver, switch box, transformer and control box. The apparatus is switched on and a demonstration of the effects of various adjustments given - focus, sensitivity, range, brightness etc. Diagrams show the area covered by the radar (principally to the rear of the aircraft) and close-ups of the display show the traces produced by ground and sea returns and by aircraft approaching from various directions. The film ends with a warning that enemy aircraft can detect the radar emissions, so that the transmitter must be switched off when not needed.
