Summary: Description of two types of British incendiary device and methods of extinguishing them.
Description: Phosphorus incendiary flasks ("Phosphor Brandflasche"): these contain a spontaneously inflammable phosphorus/petrol mixture. Upon impact the flask shatters and spreads the contents over the area. In a demonstration, the fire is extinguished by sand and water by a man in a gas mask. 250lb I.B. ("Flussigkeits Brandbombe"): the bomb is shown and diagrams give details of its construction. On impact there is a large detonation which spreads the sticky petrol/phosphorus mixture over a wide area. In a demonstration in a factory yard, the fires are fought with sand and water from stirrup pumps and from hoses. The film closes with a resumé of the incendiary devices shown in this and the previous four films, and states that a cautious but determined approach to tackling them will bring successful results.
