Summary: Description of two examples of British flares and incendiaries and means of extinguishing them.
Description: 250lb target indicator ("Zielmarkierungsbombe"): The bomb is lifted up for the camera by two men and its contents - 60 magnesium flares - revealed. Diagrams give details of its construction and simple animated film shows how the flares are released at a set altitude. A demonstration of extinguishing a burning flare is given. Balloon incendiary ("Störballone"): Diagrams show how either phosphorus incendiary flasks (as described in part "E") or a canister containing a combustible liquid mixture are released from a balloon at a set altitude. Such a device with 7 incendiary flasks is demonstrated (balloon not shown). Instructions (but no demonstrations) are given for dealing with the devices.
