Description: An example of the bomb, the 30lb I.B. Type J ("Flammstrahl-Bombe" ) is held up by a German air raid warden in protective clothing. Diagrams give details of the bomb's construction. A demonstration drop shows how the bomb produces a 3-5m long stream of burning petrol after an initial delay. Methods of extinguishing the flame both in the open and in closed rooms are demonstrated using large fire hoses and sand. A small stirrup pump proves to be fairly ineffective.
