Summary: Silent film of sea trials of a high speed U-boat made by German engineering firm H Walter KG, Kiel, 1941.
Description: The film shows the prototype of a small high-speed submarine (not subsequently put into production) at sea trials in the Bay of Hela outside Danzig. There are shots of the submarine in a harbour and then submerging, re-surfacing and travelling just below the sea's surface at speed. There are several sequences inside the submarine showing its operation as well as the view through the periscope. The film is marked secret and certain technical details are given in the titles.
