Description: (Reel 1) The stages of assembly along the production line are first shown, with particular attention to the fuel injection unit and its quality control. A motor is wheeled off to a test rig where it is started and checked.
(Reel 2) At the aircraft factory, motors are unpacked and final assembly completed (eg radiators and fairings). A motor is attached to a Ju 88 under construction and the airscrew fitted. Outside, on a completed aircraft, the motor is fuelled up, oil and coolant added.
(Reels 3 and 4) Instructions for starting and running up the new motor are given, with detailed diagrams showing the workings of the fuel injection and air intake systems and of the oil and cooler cycles.
(Reels 5, 6 and 7) Full details of the operation of the engine controls during take off, normal, high altitude and single-engined flight, dive-bombing, landing and shutting down are given. Finally the motor is given a brief overhaul.
