  • Film Number: GWY 1497
  • Other titles: TRIALS WITH THE DW-KRÄMER ROCKET BOAT [Translation]
  • Summary: Trials with a rocket-propelled boat.
  • Description: Captions describe the arrangement of Rheinmetall-Borsig RI502 rockets - four pairs firing in sequence to give a 36-second duration. The boat, which has a mast fitted with a flare to aid observation, is shown undergoing two trials. In the first, it appears to make very slow progress through the choppy water. In the other trial, the performance of the retrimmed boat is rather better, although a large amount of spray is produced by its progress.
