Summary: Three sections of film showing the Krupp complex in Essen the morning after a raid, a mechanised hammer and an animated map of the Cologne-Bonn area of the Rhine.
Description: I. Opening shot shows original Krupp forge (Stammhaus) partially destroyed by bombing. Pan over the bombed factory buildings of the Krupp complex, across the Thomaestrasse reveals damage to the high tower of the Hauptverwaltungsgebaude. Some buildings still smoulder. Workers and cars are visible and the weather is wintry [1944-45?].
II. View of a mechanised hammer in operation inside a factory [ca 1940].
III. Animated map of the Cologne - Bonn area of the Rhineland indicates the road and rail network which links the many towns and villages of Landkreis Mühlheim am Rhein. Map also shows the coat of arms of the Neuwied district near Bonn [ca 1940].
