  • Description: I. 'Nazi officials visiting the Krupp Firm'. Kapitänleutnant Rolf Mützelburg, Oberleutnant Heyda and Leutnant Heep of the U-203, sponsored by Essen, visit the Gussstahlfabrik on 6 September 1941 accompanied by the Krupp guide von Verschuer and Hupe. II. Mützelburg, now wearing the Ritterkreuz, (awarded 17/11/41), and the crew of the U-203 visit Krupps in the winter of 1941 accompanied by von Verschuer and other officials. III. 'Erich Müller at gun tests'. Müller in dark suit stands with three visiting civilians near the Krupp firing ground in summer. IV. Former Krupp employee Gebirgsjäger Hauptmann Mertens, wearing the Ritterkreuz, visits his home town of Essen with other officers and NCOs on 19 June 1942. Group accompanied by von Verschuer and Hupe meets Krupp workers. V. Panzer Major von Lauchert, wearing the Ritterkreuz, steps out of a car at Krupps with von Verschuer on 13 April 1942. VI. 'Field howitzer tests'. 'Foreign Officers at Krupp'. Visit of 22 Japanese Officers on 29 March 1942. Group with Alfried Krupp enters bus. Cut to firing ground with Japanese accompanied by Müller and von Verschuer inspecting a Flak 88 and 15cm gun. Party poses in the afternoon on the steps of the Villa Hügel with their hosts Gustav and Bertha Krupp flanking Major General Ayabe, with Major General Hara standing between Bertha and a daughter.
