Summary: Two sections of film show Gustav Krupp unveiling a bust of Hitler and a [DAF?] ceremonial presentation of copies of "Mein Kampf" to Krupp workers.
Description: I. Gustav Krupp, wearing the Iron Cross, together with Bertha, Alfried and Irmgard, enters a small hall [probably in the Essener Hof Hotel on the occasion of the unveiling on 1 February 1937 of a bust of the Führer made by Willi Deus and commissioned by Krupp.] Family take their seats in the front row of the small audience which includes a bespectacled Nazi wearing the uniform of the Motorstandarte M 73 (Essen). A small orchestra and choir perform a work by Handel. Elderly man [possibly the Hotel Manager] introduces Gustav Krupp's address from the swastika bedecked podium set against a background of heraldic objects and paintings. Portrait of Hindenburg and bust of Hitler are unveiled as audience rises to sing national anthem. Members of the Krupp family afterwards converse with the guests, including presumably Willi Deus.
II. Two civilians, presumably Krupp employees, and a much bemedalled Nazi official, stand together waiting before the start of an open air ceremony. Musical band in Krupp uniform and many with swastika armbands march past ahead of the Krupp fire brigade. One of the civilians delivers an address before copies of "Mein Kampf" are presented individually to elderly workers. [Probably a Deutsche Arbeitsfront ceremony, ca 1939]
