Summary: Film demonstrates fire-fighting and rescue services in action during a simulated small scale air raid on a partially built up area.
Description: A siren warns of the approach of enemy aircraft and Krupp firemen rush with their hand-drawn fire engine to the scene of a blaze. Firemen's commanding officer chooses his command post and directs his men fighting the blaze. Hoses are fixed to hydrants and the water turned on at the fire engine's control panel. Fire spreads and Krupp fire service engines arrive on the scene. Following an attack by a second wave of enemy planes, a special SHD (Essen security service) unit sandbags a (ca) 250lb bomb while Krupp personnel shore up the wall of a damaged building. Reinforcements of SHD personnel arrive to fight a fire which is spreading and a special SHD unit clears the damaged entrance of an underground shelter from which stretcher bearers carry out the wounded. Concluding title notes that the generals watching the exercise commended the close cooperation between the members of the Essen security service and the Krupp air raid defence squad.
