Summary: The correct use of the survival-at-sea dinghy.
Description: In the first of various staged rescues, a Heinkel float plane lands and an engine falls off. The pilot in the water releases a dye marker; a Focke-Wulf FW 85 drops a dinghy. Then a Heinkel He 111 drops a larger dinghy for a three-man crew in the water; the difficulty of boarding the dinghy in a flying suit is demonstrated. Finally, the crew of a Junkers Ju 88 are rescued form their dinghy after deploying a balloon aerial and sending a distress signal. An air-sea rescue aircraft takes off from base, and picks up the crew and dinghy.
