Description: Wide shot of a parade in progress at Rangoon golf course. Bodies of troops are formed up and another marches on to the parade ground. A 17-gun salute being fired by 25-pounder field guns (this footage fogged in parts and quite murky). Troops presenting arms and Lord Mountbatten, Supreme Allied Commander, inspecting them. Footage from the victory march past; a body of troops of 17th Indian Division (black cat insignia). The first man to pass camera is a Sikh officer. Other troops of 17th Division are British and so either 48th or 99th Brigade. More British troops. A contingent of African troops probably of 82nd West African Division (shield with headband and spears insignia). A unit seemingly composed of both American and Chinese troops. American contingent led by the US flag. Chinese contingent with Chinese (Nationalist) flag. More troops.
