Summary: Instructions for dealing with waste in Army encampments.
Description: The film briefly deals with the removal of waste and sewage in towns and in barracks where the problem is dealt with by the relevant authority. In the field rubbish must be burnt in improvised incinerators or disposed of in carefully controlled burial pits. The correct methods of constructing urinals both for long and short stays are shown - for the latter a soakage pit is dug and filled, with improvised "superstructures" made from a variety of items such as old cans. Latrines for short and longer stays are demonstrated with an emphasis on protecting them from flies. Finally methods of dealing with contaminated water (grease and soap) are shown.
