Description: A British soldier demonstrates that with his artificial right hand he can rake a garden, pick up and open a bag, light a cigarette, drink a glass of water, use a knife and fork and throw and catch a ball.
A procession, led by Lloyd George and the Lord Mayor, comes down the steps of the Council Chamber and Lloyd George gets into a car. It is raining hard. Lloyd George talks to a crowd of people, including women war workers, waiting for him. A pan over a group of convalescent soldiers in hospital blues. Then Lloyd George again on the steps of Manchester Town Hall delivering a speech, then inspecting a parade of soldiers in a wet, foggy street.
