Description: Model landing on flexible deck. Close up of parts of the flexible deck apparatus. Full size aircraft (Hotspur II glider BT889) being propelled on rocket sled onto flexible deck. Slow motion film of landings. Vampire jet carrying out wheels up low speed landing on flexible deck – arrestor hook fails to engage and jet bounces off deck onto grassed area beyond deck. Second jet attempts and succeeds to engage wire, being brought to a halt with little apparent damage to fuselage. Several more successful 'landings'. Aircraft serial TC/286. Craning aircraft off flexible deck and lowering undercarriage and towing away.
