French soldiers and RAF personnel watch the game from sparsely-populated terraces and a crowded sports pavilion. During half-time, French soldiers and RAF personnel put on a show of inter-Allied harmony for the camera; two tall Britishers pose with a short French soldier. Scenes from the second half of the game.
II. British troops are seen manning the Fort de Sainghain along the Franco-Belgian border, They use water from a portable reservoir they have brought into the fort to mix concrete for the construction of new bunkers in ground they are seen clearing. A British Army 6x4 lorry emerges from a tunnel entrance and motors into the fort's inner courtyard. British troops in ranks of three march smartly over the drawbridge over the moat surrounding the fort and pass a French Army sentry who presents arms. British soldiers are seen at work under camouflage netting clearing an area of ground for the construction of a new bunker.
