- Description: I. After arrival of Polish soldiers "to join the British in their struggle" Poles goose-step in marchpast. II. Polish General takes over a brigade in reformed Army, and takes salute at marchpast. III. Decoration of banner of Polish Mountain Brigade has banner decorated. General Sikorski awards medals to veterans of Narvik fighting, including two women, before marchpast before their Commander-in-Chief. IV. Lord Gort arrives to visit Polish Regiments. Soldiers still in French uniforms practise firing and using bayonets. V. Soldiers learn English from an instructor and improve it in the company of kilted Scottish girls at an outdoor display of reel dancing. Local Scottish shop sells Polish items including newspaper "Polska Walczaca". VI. General Sikorski arrives to inspect troops on August 15. Outdoor Mass is celebrated. Poles present painting of Polish soldier to Lord Provost. Marchpast through town, watched by locals and bagpipers lining route. VII. President Raczkiewicz visits the Polish camp. Lord Provost of Glasgow Sir Patrick Dollan, "a great friend of Poland", presents flag to Raczkiewicz for a Polish detachment. VIII. Duke of Kent visits Polish camp. IX. Churchill visits Poles and watches troops and transport pass by. X. Raczkiewicz with Czechoslovak Commander-in-Chief General Ingr inspect Poles at new post on coast which they are guarding. Local Mayor welcomes Raczkiewicz. XI. Exercise in summer landscape, with Polish troops on foot, in Bren carriers, trucks and on motorcycles. "Polish Army, trained and equipped with modern weapons, waits impatiently for the fight to start with the enemy in Europe."
