Description: I. Avro Lancaster bombers on the tarmac at Woodford airfield, 5 May 1944. A Lancaster is towed by a tractor, tail first, from a hangar. Three Lancasters are lined up on the tarmac outside. The towed aircraft is manoeuvred into place. Various shots of the Lancaster being towed, are followed by film (from various angles) of 5 Lancasters in a line, mechanics working on engines; a Lancaster taxiing. (393 ft)
II. Hawker Typhoon fighters being built at Hucclecote, near Gloucester, 6 May 1944. Inside a hangar, a team of mechanics work on Typhoons. A tractor tows one, tail first, onto the tarmac, where there is a line of four completed Typhoons. (88 ft)
