Description: Captain Peter Williams, R.N., narrates as the film details the stations deployment and actions from the initial general recall on Friday 1 April 1982 until the return of the last units later that year. Included is a detailed roll of all squadrons deployed as well as to where they were deployed and when. Prior to the outbreak of hostilities, 150 aircraft were stationed at Royal Naval Air Service base (R.N.A.S.) Yeovilton. During the conflict, 126 aircraft were deployed to the South Atlantic as well as 200 officers and 1200 ratings from the base. 12 personnel were killed in action, with 8 more being seriously wounded. 16 gallantry decorations, 10 other awards and 28 mentions in dispatches were earned by personnel from the base throughout the conflict.
